How do you get help for a psychotic person in the USA 🇺🇸 if they don’t know they’re psychotic?

I’ve been told that baker acts require proof. Short of following them around with video equipment. How can I get them evaluated?

I think anyone can accuse anyone of anything, but the thing is that doesn’t mean it’s true. Also, it’s illegal to follow someone around with a video camera without their permission and it’s not admissible in court. Unfortunately you must have specific examples and/or that person must do something.

Get a nest camera. They are plug and go. Audio and video. Let them know your behavior is recorded too to ease their tension and think they might have a chance of catching you. Then keep a cool head.

I just remembered..

I watched a true crime show episode once where a woman was brutally beaten and raped consistently by her husband. She kept being told she needed proof.

She was writing down on a wall calendar she kept hidden each time an assault happened against her will.

One occasion she managed to be brave enough to hide a camera in their bedroom, but he found it and turned it off, then beat her so badly she died from her injuries.

Investigators found the wall calendar with endless attacks written in her hand. That was enough to put him away.

A person can Baker Act themselves. I guess the “proof” would be if they threatened suicide.
