My Friend Called me Dumb during an argument?

Hello, I was trying to initiate a conversation with my friend and she was just being so mean and I could just tell she was in a bad mood for no reason. Some days she’s really nice to talk to but some days she's just mean for no reason. I was trying to talk to her but it was really one sided so I just kept asking her questions just to see how she's doing. I then told her is there anything wrong because It seems like every time I talk to her she's always just mean to me for no reason. This caused an argument and she said I’m always asking stupid questions and then I told her I’m just trying to talk to you. Then she said I think your dumb. I then asked her do you really think I’m dumb and then she said yes and then she said I’m annoying. Then, she proceeded to tell me she doesn’t treat her other friends like this and then said I was the one being mean. I’m I in the wrong in this, it just sucks because this happened with another girl I was friends with she was super nice to me in the beginning and then she would go off on me in public such as class and call me a bunch of names.

Update: I decided to just take a break from not talking to her and its been two weeks and she has yet to talk to me
