Would you tell your little one that babies are delivered by a stork?

How old must a child be before you explain where they really come from, instead of telling them the stork, or that the police, left them at your doorstep?

My eight-year-old has already been told by my wife that she came from inside her, but we haven’t gotten to the how she got there in the first place part yet. We figure that when it’s developmentally appropriate, she’ll start to question how she got in there.

bruh. they come from, ideally, "mom & dad" and if not that, some close variation.

once they start asking "how mommy get that up in her?" things get tricky and I'm not there yet with life experience to answer that one.

I would just assume show them where babies come from. Obviously, telling the stork story doesn't hurt them but, I think I'd just rather be truthful.

@Daniela1982 Kids know a lot of stuff that they hear from classmates, such as cussing. Also be it noted that kids today are inquisitive and are always seeking answers. I think that as soon as they are old enough to ask - depending on what the questions is- they are old enough to know some details, but not all the intimate side of the details.
