Am I the asshole?

There is this woman 26 years old lets call her ellisa , she is the ex step daughter of my grandmother's friend's son lets call him Tom. Tom is a scammer. Many years ago my grandmother promised Tom's mom on her death bed that she would watch over him, so he's like a family friend. Tom has a pattern of marrying women with money taking what he needs and then leaving. His 4th Marriage was to Ellisa mom, when he was setting up his plan he asked my family to host Ellisa's stay in north america so she could practice English, she stayed with us a few months. Then tom brought her whole family over, it ended in divorce.4 years after the divorce my grandmother has made his ex family feel like they are now our family. Personally I think my obligation to them ended with the divorce. Anyways now Ellisa 26 is always asking to stay over at my house to make it to 8:30 classes. My grandma tells me I need to let her stay but I think a 26 year old woman can wake her ass early up and get on the bus to go to school. Mind you ellisa's mother bought her and her sibling a car she just hasn't bothered getting her license, she also lives steps always from 2 major bus routes. Am I the asshole? Is my grandma seeing something I'm not
