Why do my parents always email me at night time?

It's suspiciously always when they suspect that I might be out socializing that evening. If I don't respond to that email, they either send a second email about something else, or text or call me early the next morning, whereby they either ask if I'm at home, or pretend that they were calling about something else. Do I have a legit reason to feel claustrophobic in this situation? I feel like they're ensuring that I'm not staying the night at some guy's mansion, god forbid.

As for parents some parents will never stop being parents & as for some parents they will never stop loving you, caring for you & looking out for you. As for your parents they love you & it shows with each & every email, text & phone call. As for your parents their looking at for you & when they suspect you are out socializing they care for you & they are looking out for you & they want to make sure you are safe & get home safe as well.

Treasure your parents like they treasure you.

Your parents are being overly-protective of their 27yo daughter, who is mature enough to take care of herself and live on her own.

Set an out-of-office message so that when they send you a message they'll get an auto-response "I'm busy right now. I'll get back to you when I can."

I think they probably just think about you before you go to bed. They also want you to be safe. Just take it as a sweet gesture (it is). Some people don't have anyone that cares about them. There have been people who have been murdered and nobody even knows there gone.

One day your parents will die and you'll wish they were still here to call you and make sure you are alright.

I wish they would let me go out in the evening to be able to meet other people who care about me, so that I don't have to be as sad when my parents die, or so that my parents can't keep using it as their excuse that if they don't check up on me, no one will. That really makes me feel unloved by the world in general when they use that excuse for calling, and I don't know where and when to meet other people who care.

Truth is likely no one will ever care as much as your parents. They have a stronger bond then anyone else could.

They love you. Tell them “Thank you for loving me as much as you do.” Don’t think they don’t know what you are doing. They were your age once before themselves. They are just caring. It would be worse if they didn’t. Enjoy it. You will miss them when they are gone, that I guarantee.

Parents are always going to worry about your safety at any age, they just want to make sure you are getting home safely at night. Night time tends be very dangerous for women, kidnappings and such are much higher at night during the day cause it's harder to see what people are doing or identify them.

I would only when I have time. Maybe that's the only time they have to sit and send an email. It's odd they would do a follow-up almost right away though. Do you let them know that you don't always check your emails at night?

It might be annoying to you but they just figure you would be home. You should be thankful that they care enough to check on you. It shows that they care. There are a lot of people that their parents want Nothing to do with their kids. I wish my parents were alive so I could talk to them.

If you don't live underneath their roof, then you have every right to set rules. I'm going out and I don't want to be interrupted by a text or an email. I also plan on sleeping in in the morning. Unless it's in the major emergency it can wait

My Mom passed away 11/10/2003 and trust me I can still break down and cry I miss her so much I love my Mom and nothing will bring her back.
