Will digging deeper into my family ancestry make my own relationship with my family become more separated from me as a relative?

I’m wanting to open more about my ancestry and ancestors that were lost to history and lost in time but I’m not wanting to ruin my relationship with my relatives and aunts and cousins because of it. will digging up lost ancestors of my family and aunts and uncles and cousins possibly ruin the relationship I have with them or bring them more closer to me?

By researching and/or having DNA testing done, it is possible to reveal that some hanky-panky could have been going on, for example, siblings possibly finding out that one or more of their siblings might have had a different father than they always believed to be theirs.

The list of those types of possibilities goes on and on, and could potentially harm current relationships.

You don't know until you know, though.

Other than those types of potential situations occurring, I can't foresee any way that relationships could be harmed.

My family has done a pretty fair amount of genealogical research and it's done nothing except bring us closer together.
