Why do I have frequent or constant sleep paralysis since I moved into my house?

I've had sleep paralysis less then a handful of times as I was younger. But since I moved into the house im currently renting I've had sleep to deal with sleep paralysis so many times I've lost count. It's most when I'm here by myself. But it has happened 2 times when I wasn't alone. It's terrifying not being able to move or speak. And I always feel like someone is present watching or sometimes it feels like someone is sitting on top of me. What is causing it? How do I stop it?
