How can I become friends with this guy in my class?

So there's this guy in one of my classes and I always see him alone even outside of class. I haven't made any friends yet, and he seems nice and smart. However, I'm so shy idek what to say or how to start a random convo. I don't really have an "excuse" to talk to him either since my teacher constantly changes the seating plan, and I almost never sit with him. We're in different grades as well so I only see him during that one class.

I don't think we're well acquainted enough for me to talk to him outside of class, but I think he at least has a good impression of me since he came up to me and asked for notes he missed once.

Whenever its end class, approach him and talk to him "aye bro, wanna hang together during break?" And u talk about anything could be what he interests, offer him to hang again tomorrow in and outside the school, like playing games together or u come to his place or sum.. Its easier to be friend w him cuz he seems alone no friend tho.. be his friend, he would really appreciate it and would love to be ur friend 😉
