Just wanted to check :)
Does having more sons or more daughters "run in your family"? Which one is more common?

Just wanted to check :)
Not that I'm close with any of them, but I think most of them have had female offspring. We have two sides of my family.
My grandmother was a Dutch immigrant who moved to America and was once married to a black man; which would've been my grandfather (I never knew who he was), and that is the "black" side of the family. It's just my bitch mother and her older brother, who would've been my uncle, but I've never met him either. My grandmother had five kids total; two were from a black guy and three were from a Jewish/Dutch guy.
My mother was then also with two different men; one of which was my drug lord scumbag absentee father, and the other was a Puerto Rican police officer, which my older half-sister Mimi comes from. So my mother was with the cop first, then my criminal dad.
After the man who was my grandfather died, my grandmother re-married and got with the wealthy Jewish man with blonde hair, and they gave birth to a son and two daughters. They're all white, since they're from the Jewish/Dutch side of the family. And having Dutch blood, they're all tall and attractive looking, by conventional standards.
The son was a car garage/mechanic business owner. The first daughter with brown hair, was a pediatrician and gave birth to my cousin Nicole. Nicole's mother died of cancer in 1999, though. And the younger blonde daughter became a New Jersey politician, and she had a daughter too, which is my cousin Gwen. My blonde half-aunt is a pretty rotten person though, being a politician and all. Who knows how many people she's crossed.
Nicole is a little Jewish-looking princess who's 5'7" with dark hair and blue eyes who looks like a doppelganger for Zooey Deschanel or Katy Perry. And our mutual cousin, Gwen, is a computer master and has a genius IQ similar to mine, who looks like a poor woman's version of Amber Heard in her twenties and is 5'9" with blonde hair and blue eyes.
So all of this gets pretty confusing, to say the least. There's me, my Hispanic/black half-sister, and my two cousins, and I'm the only male there. I never knew my uncle, I don't get along with my mother at all, one of my half-aunts died to cancer, the other one is a politician, and I barely even know my half-uncle.
Between everything, I think that females are more common in my "family," but I don't really count them as family. Only one I get along with is Gwen cause we both have high IQs and are generally misanthropic. Last I checked, she worked in a dead-end IT job in Jersey, still. The rest of the "family" can go to Hell.
this seems to be a thing in my extended family, lol... with most of my cousins and also my brothers being around my age (25 to 35) there is definitely a tendency for most of them to have more daughters than sons
when we were all kids though... the trend was for most of my uncles and aunts to have males first, one male first... and then younger daughters
but now that we're all adults and having offspring of our own, that's the new tendency, not only we're having less kids than our parents (who had 3 to 4, even five) having 1 to 3 kids but there's also a lot more nieces than nephews lol
that's at least for now
I’ve never really paid attention, honestly. Out of 5 children, I’m the only girl. My brother has 3 daughters. It’s probably an even mix.
I don’t know which option to pick because none of them fit. For my immediate nuclear family that I grew up with? Yeah all boys except for me. Beyond that? It’s a mix. Maybe more daughters even.
Not sure how to vote. But there are more girls in the family (dad side and mum side) than boys.
I guess towards girls then boys since there's more of them in your family.

This is a great question! I don't know how to vote. My wife and my kids have been 3 boys and 2 girls. My father was the only boy; he had three sisters. Their grandfather had two boys. On my wife's side of the family, it's almost always evenly split.
I guess you can vote more sons since you had more sons personally :)
In my family, counting mother and fathers sides there are close to twice as many males as females in my generation. My bother has two sons and a daughter. I have two daughters, which I attribute to serving on a nuclear submarine and thus being unable to have sons.
I've got a very high son to moon ratio, most of my see blinks are sons.
Both of my Pear ends had moons running in their family. Not to confuse with men running around with moon bumps.
There is a bit of a tendency towards more sons than daughters in my family in recent generations.
Well I'm adopted and I'm the only girl, and I have two moms so... I guess daughters. Lmao.
Currently we've my relatives has been having more daughters but the at previous gen, there were more sons including me.
In mine it flip flops pretty evenly.
