My mother is 45 and adores both my daughter and my sister' son, but she gets really angry if I call her "grandma" - she says she's too young and even then only my daughter and my nephew will be allowed to call her that when they'll talk.

She doesn't like it because she says you call old people like that and she's not old.
To be honest she does look younger than her age, so she lies about her age too - she's been "38" for seven years now.
