I’ve been working from home for last 2.5 years. living with parents (it’s common here)
Office is reopening next week, which is in another state. I was so excited to stay away, but now is feeling really sad and will miss my home, parents, my room, breeze at the balcony, bed, homely food, hometown everything.
I’ve stayed away for 6 years before 2020. But this time got emotionally attached to home.

See if you can arrange to keep working from home. Before COVID companies were extremely reluctant to let employees do that. I worked out of state living in motels myself. Companies liked employees to be on site. But after COVID they might be more open to it.
Your own change of feelings about this might just be age. You were away from family when you were young. Now you have spent more time around them as an older person when you relationship with family is probably different than it was before.
Thanks man. Yeah but they made it compulsory
Can you get a decent job locally? It's worth a try.
All good things must come to an end. Many companies have rebounded from the pandemic and now realize that having people work from home is not as productive than having them come into an office.
Yes that’s right. Some are not working properly
Ask your company if you can still work remotely.
It’s compulsory. Thank you man
