I personally will still normally celebrate it with my friends.

I turned 60 last week and, I have to admit, this birthday is the most bothersome of those I've had.
Turning 30 was no big deal; it was for my mother who was going to turn 50.
Turning 40 was OK; I was still a newlywed but I was worried about other things that my age. I'd lose my job, my father, and my favorite sports team in a period of 5 months and then remain unemployed for 2 years, so it was tough, but I was not bothered by 40, per se.
I don't really remember turning 50 other than i likely did it while living in a hotel for my job. Things were going relatively OK and I was married for over 11 years and in my current home, so I was not fixated on the number.
But, the past 10 years have been a gradual downer and have me worried about the future. So, while I am 60, I still feel more or less the same as I did last week... but I still also have the same concerns and worries about the future and lament the losses that I've suffered especially the past couple of years such as being ghosted by good friends here.
I've had some really memorable birthday parties. It's always nice when people go out of their way to plan a party and bring gifts.
I don't get excited over the fact that it's my birthday anymore. But my wife always does something really thoughtful. She comes up with good ideas. Sometimes we just go out for a good meal at a nice restaurant. But in 2020, for example, we went to tour some wineries in Sonoma and, while we were there, she paid for me to take an aerobatic ride in a two-seat, bi-wing, airplane because it was on my bucket list.
My birthday is coming up in a few days on the 13th. We plan to go to a particular restaurant that has good food and wine.
SPECIAL ALWAYS!
You only live once. You're only your age once!
It's a point to celebrate another YEAR that's you've survived (somehow lol). Now I think that is definitely worth celebrating! People who are too negative even and especially on their one special day, should be ashamed of themselves and just off themselves lol. It's like they don't appreciate surviving life itself and that's hard for some people to even do! They're not counting their blessings! Would they rather be in the hospital on a ventilator or dying of in pain from whatever illness? I mean, yeah, I just got extreme but sometimes you NEED to show those people some wake up calls to actually get them to appreciate their stupid life!
I celebrate my birthday on a small scale, taking the day off of work to do whatever I want, and maybe treating myself to a dessert from the Cheesecake Factory. It's still nice to make it through another year so I see no reason not to celebrate it.

My birthdays never been a big deal for me. So it’s not something I generally make a big deal of. My mom and friends though always make me do something
no, I never did...
my last big birthday party was at age 9... and I did dread it big time lmao, I was extremely and painfully shy as a kid so I never liked to have an entire street of people focused on me lmfao... every year to that point was an absolute nightmare so, I just never liked to celebrate my birthdays with big parties like that
so, ever since... my friends and family only make it about little details here and there, and many of them will even ignore it... just the way I like it, lol
Depends on my mood. I’ve always had to work harder than most to make my birthday special because nobody else ever did. I share the day with a major holiday, so you could argue that everyone has good reason to overlook me.
More often than not i just do my own thing and i’m quite happy because i get to do almost anything i want in my own time. Aside from not getting to spend it with my favorite people, who could ask for more?
I stopped giving a f••• about it after my 18th/19th/20th bday if i remember correctly. SOmeone fucked it up so bad that i hate celebrating my bdays ever since. It triggered me so bad. Though there are friends who used to give me a bday surprise, which i don’t mind; it’s their choice; maybe im important to them / they feel bad about me / afraid of making me feeling left out / just returning a favor to me. Whatever really.
But me personally, i don’t throw anymore bday celebrations even just a small bday lunch with friends/family. I just buy myself something i like as my bday gift from me to me, and call it a day!
by the way! Shoutout to G@G for wishing me a happy birthday in my DMs every year *lol
I personally don't but my wife and kids make a big deal out of it.
Candles, cake, etc. My choice of dinner.
As of 2 years ago, it IS just another day of the year! I might buy myself a fairly expensive present that nobody else would've ever gotten me, maybe I'll go to the store and get a small cake. Other than that, nothing special happens, anymore. I've BEEN doing the expensive present thing for at least 10 years, now. Christmas is the same way.
Hell naw. My birthday is a big epic event. That I like to celebrate out of town on a solo trip
It's just another day when you get my age. Certain ones though could be milestones like 40 or 50 etc etc
I don't like to celebrate my birthday but i have to cause i need to throw a party to my friends. Otherwise its just a normal day for me
It’s really just another day for me. It I still appreciate when people blow it up.
Yes, I hope to release my first book on one of them. That’s relatively unrealistic so as sort of a backup plan, I’ll just release my movie on it instead. You should watch it if you like Meme figures, transformers, LEGOs, dinosaurs, anime Waifus, and a bunch of other cool things.
No not really but it sure is nice if your husband , boyfriend or significant other takes you to dinner or something out of the ordinary just to acknowledge you and let you know they apprieate you being in there life.
I usually take work off the day after. Friends and family usually connect around my birthday, but the day of is my day.
I do, my dad and I did this thing on our Bdays to find the best steak dinner money could buy.
Used to treat it special until my friends would always be working or out a town since my birthday is around memorial day weekend or on memorial day
I try not to think about them anymore and have never made a big deal over them... lol
It’s just another day for me, don’t really care about it anymore😆😆
My birthday has only been celebrate a few times in life and it was when I was really young. I don't enjoy birthdays at all. Just another day.
I never really have. I haven't done anything for my birthday for a few years now and even that I just use to do something with my closest friend. My family just did the standard card or gifts. But tbh I struggle to feel I'm worth the effort. Sadly that seems to be true as the reason I used to celebrate with my closest friend is she convinced me to. And now the past 2 years she's forgotten by birthday entirely. So what's the point really. I'm a year older it's honestly not worth celebrating.
It is just another day. Unfortunately other people seem compelled to remember it. A birthday strikes me as something particularly unworthwhile celebrating.
I kind of do. I like to have a good dinner and ice cream cake. As well as having my siblings over.
Celebrate with a Cake cutting. Sometimes we go for dinner 🍽️
It's just another day. I don't like celebrating my birthday
I usually treat it like a normal day. Life will make it special for me aand by the end of the day, it's special. :)
I always feel special on my birthday. It’s a tradition of mine that on each birthday I do something I was scared of doing.
I do my best to not even remember when it is. I do not care to think about it; one way or another.
I probably will till I’m like 50 then I’m not gonna want to do anything big or any sort of party, reminders really😂
It's always been just a day. You need to have positive memories or connotations of it to make it feel special.
I don’t necessarily treat my birthday special, but I do treat other people’s birthday special. And the reason for that is we’re very fortunate that they’re still with us so I want to celebrate our good luck of having them around still.
My last few have been very good, it times past so so.
Coming up to 40 and its just been another day for 20 years
My Birthday is my day I don't work or do anything on my day. 💞
It's just another day for me. I don't like celebrating it.
As long as I get food from my favorite restaurant I'm happy honestly
Idc about my birthday or holidays anymore. I don't celebrate them.
i hate being the center of attention so yeah i'd rather just skip it and save the depression. i never really felt all that special on any of my birthdays anyways.
I'll let mine go for a price :D
Don't need or want anymore of 'em
It is really just another day. My kids don't even bother with it anymore.
Our Dad makes us dinners on our birthdays, so yeah is a special thing 😁
I love that. Very sweet
yes i still treat it like a special day. but i worked on my last bday
Treat it as something special, as many holidays I can't celebrate.
I think different and that every day is my birthday. I always get born again, evolve since I wake up until I go to sleep
Kind of. All celebrations feel pretty flat these days
Not special anymore. Birthdays are special for little kids.
