Do you celebrate your birthday?

Question

Mine was on Tuesday and for a few years there I kinda didn't know if I wanted to celebrate it.
I never do anything big as its so soon after Christmas but I do go for a meal. 😊
Usually just my mum and I.
This year I dared us to try oysters.
£3 an oyster.
Wasn't too bad as a treat.
I think it's good to try new things, it seemed to give me a burst of energy.

My kids celebrate my birthday and I tag along. I do enjoy feeling special.

My favorite was when they were preschool age. They couldn't believe it was my birthday because there wasn't a cake or presents. So, we baked a simple cake that they were able to do without my help, just my instruction and me using the oven. They frosted it pink all goopy and messy and completely covered it in sprinkles. It was THE BEST birthday and birthday cake I ever had. ❤❤❤❤

Happy belated birthday :) And yes i go to dinner, shopping, movies, and casino. Then at home I go home and have cake and movie night! I love my birthdays!! But i’ve only had two sucky birthdays. For my 19th, I was sad and spent it at the hospital with my mom. And last year for my 27th, I was sick so I couldn’t do much, plus my dad showed up uninvited

These days, as of 2 years and one week ago i have no family left, at least none close.

I don't do much of anything other than try to buy myself a fairly expensive present that no one else would buy for me. IF I'm at the store and I spot a cake that I might like to have, I'll get it and eat it by myself.

My aunt and my ex-fiance were both born on New Years Day so, there was always a fairly big b-day party for the both of them on the same day.

We don't make a big thing out of it. Maybe go out for a decent burger or rent a movie. We focus more on the grandkid's birthdays.
