Would it be too nice of me to take an old friend back?

I break off my friendship with him some 3 months ago. Because of a third person. He bitched about my feelings for him to someone new and that irked me a lot. In between, there were times I regretted cutting him off my friend list coz he was the only one who always stayed while the others left so I texted him to come back but he never seemed interested. Although recently he texted me wishing happy new year. I wished him back but didn’t ask him to befriend me again. I wish he doesn’t come back but if he did what should I do?

Good friends are hard to come by so if he was a good friend you might overlook his minor indiscretion.

In my personal opinion - move on form him. Only if he gets back in touch with you give him a chance. Your time and energy is precious and belongs to those who deserve and appreciate it

If he doesn’t bring peace to your life, move on. Don’t feel obligated

Consider giving the guy a chance, and maybe consider reaching out to him.
