My close friend didn't talk to me much when he had a girlfriend. Now they broke up and he wants to be a good friend with me again. What should I do?

I know a lot of GAGers are gonna lync me for saying this... but you deserve honest responses. Many times it has to do with the fact that the guy and the girl are building a very close relationship with each other. Usually this means they are occupied with each other.
Many times it is not like he/she doesn't care about your feelings, but just that they are completely swallowed up in the butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling and can't get enough of it.
Dont take it too personal.

That being said, do keep in mind though that a lot of times, really good and deep relationship means that both sides will trust each other very deeply and try to give each other everything that they need. It does not mean that they treat friends as garbage. It just means that they are occuppied deeply.

See it as this example.
If you have a hobby/passion that you are really intensely crazy about, but you have exams coming (or big project at work), it will make you give less attention to your passion. It does NOT mean that all of a sudden you dont care about ur passion. It just means that even though it is painful, you are just putting time in another part of your life.

You should be worried when your friend stops greeting you in front of her. Cuz that would mean that he is either ashamed of you, or she does not want him to talk to you.

Apart from that, dont overthink it.

Lots of people are this way. Now that he’s not distracted, take the time to explain to him that you wanted more of him and that you felt you deserved better. It’s highly likely he’ll come to a conclusion so that you don’t have to. In the event he doesn’t change meaningfully, prepare yourself emotionally to draw yourself back and find a friend with more to offer, less contingent on their sexual opportunities.
