My friend stopped talking with me because I’m in a “relationship.”What should I do?

My best friend told me to I can’t be texting him, because at times she’s right next to him and she’s the jealous type, calling him because he won’t pick up if he’s talking to her or hanging out. He’s trying to date a woman 20 years older than him ( he wants sex but she likes him) and he doesn’t want her to think he’s player and he told her “ I’m a family friend not he’s best friend.” He also told me that if I say something he would never talk to me again. I text him Sunday and told him I was not going to text him or call him and he’s reply was “ it’s better to play safe” do you think I overreacted or I’m right that I don’t want he’s friendship anymore? I still have to go to he’s house because he’s family and mine are close.

Well I would say he is right. As a man it is his way of dealing with things, he knows that his girlfriend is of jealous type so he is doing what it takes to make her feel more secure, to reassure her.
