How do you pass time when you are sick and stuck in bed?

I'm not exactly sick, but my back locked up so I'm more or less forced into bed because I can't move. Doctor said I should be fine by Monday (the luck lol) but I'm boring myself to death since yesterday. I watch some TV and sometimes my wife brings my daughter to hold for a bit.

Funniest thing I manage to do so far was to convince both wife and mother to sneak me a drink without telling the other.

Play a memory game, try to remember something from the past. There is a link between developing Alzheimer's (late in life) and not using one's brain enough. Recently there was another study finding this, about how our reliance on automatic GPS systems is correlated to Alzheimer's. So, whatever you do, work the brain, even if your body is taking a rest.

When I got sick I stayed in my room, took medicine, ate food, listened to the bible message on YouTube, watch a Korean Drama (it was only 16 episodes within 6 days) cleaned my entire room. Made a list of what I needed to buy and do after I felt better.

if I end up in bed... that means severe pain or discomfort, both... so the one thing I can do is to sleep and wait out

It is not often that I get sick and need to stay at home. Even then, I don't stay in bed.

I usually watch TV, go online or chat with friends. I also like doing word search. That always keeps me occupied when I'm sick. Luckily I don't get sick very often.
