What else would you do when you are sick other than taking meds and resting?

Obviously ALSO go to a doctor if you have fever to identify which problem!

Not just aspirin to lower fever. BUT doc can be included in medicine.

For nose, make tea to sip and try to suck steam in nose.

For throat ache , suck sugar free candy or do throat spray.

What else i would do... i would think about the amazing immune system god cre8Ted in animals n people and be grateful to god i can defeat most germs n parasites.

How can people ignore the complexity of our immune system n not thank a wise creator for engineering it! (The wise one not the others).

With a cold or flu, I don't take meds to mask symptoms. The symptoms are your immune system doing its job. Let it.

I take vitamins, supplements, healthy teas, homeopathic remedies, soup, water with electrolytes.
Stay warm, get plenty of rest.

I just got over a 24 hour bug. Yesterday, I pretty much slept the whole day. When I would wake up, it would be to either use the restroom or to stay hydrated. I didn’t have the strength to do anything else.

There's not much to do. Eat ramen and maybe read a book or something like that. Unless you're vomiting, then yeah, you'll only be able to take med & rest since you're too weak to do anything else.

It all depends on the illness but a major one not on your list is hygiene. You want to prevent further infection. Generally you also want to get sun exposure for vitamin D. But don't forget the hygiene. If you have wounds clean them often and replace bandages. If you have a skin infection, the solution to pollution is dilution, so soak your infected open wound in a Ringer's solution several times a day. At lower concentrations it can act as a bacteriostatic agent and reduce inflammation and pain and at higher concentrations it can kill bacteria by dehydrating them which can assist your immune system at containing and eliminating the infection. The body is a complicated machine. There isn't a one size fits all approach.

Only time makes things better. Tell yourself you are just one day closer to feeling better with each passing day/hour. Also doesn’t hurt to distract yourself with a movie or something.

I got COVID two months ago and the flu 3 weeks ago. No fun. But the way I look at it is I will (most likely) not get the same kind of cold/flu/COVID twice. Natural immunity. Got it over with.

Get nutritious food.
Remember to take a shower.
