It makes me feel like life is passing me by. And I hate it.
+1 yWhere I live, it's still a surprise that someone my age IS married. Most people I know are in a serious relationship of some type, but in terms of putting a ring on it, definitely dragging their feet 😂.
Or maybe most of my friends have too much student loan debt that they want to pay off before pitching in for a big white wedding. I'm definitely in the middle of the pack of my friends. I think we'll all be engaged in 0-2 years time, or be going through some next level sex in the city type break up.00 Reply

+1 yCan i give you a brotherly advice? I also resisted getting married for 3-4 years as family pressure was growing. I did not even come from a society or culture where daring was normal. So i never dated. I would always make friends with women who were already engaged, just so that there was no possibility of a serious connection.
Then in the age period 27-29, I saw more and more (almost all) of my good male friends get married. I started feeling left out a d even when I would be invited to family events, I would feel odd. That is when I changed my mind
Pleaee... Don't follow society norms. There is a time for everything. As soon as you feel financially stable, get married.

+1 yWell, we are not in your situation, we are older parents. It is strange when our kids have play dates or other school type activities and we are the only people in our 40s with kids still in elementary school. All the other moms and dads look like they're in their late 20s early 30s. Best thing to focus on is making yourself happy, things generally fall into place she able to do that on your own.

+1 yHmmm uhm maybe a bit jealous and uncomfortable knowing they are now taken. But, then I think to myself I have no reason to be because it would be no different to me. I’m 28 ugly quiet and passive people think I’m gay I’ve never had female friends and don’t know how to talk to women to be able to ever have a marriage and offspring.
00 ReplyI do myself but honestly you have no clue what people are hiding behind those situations. My friend is about to have a kid and her life is a disaster to say the least. It makes me feel a bit grateful that I didn’t settle at this age

+1 yI don't want kids, I want marriage, but I don't get upset seeing others being happy.
It's the people who are miserable that are usually much harder to be around.
Exceptions exist for both.10 Reply

Why do people get so offended that you don’t have children in your late 20s and early 30s?
