When 2 ethnicities get married. Which ethnicity should they use to name the children?

Should they use family names or meet in the middle. Because some names sound very strange in different languages and people tend to make fun of names. Keep in mind that both parents have a mother tongue that is not English but they use English as their main source of communication.

Neither- they should base their kids' names on culture, not ethnicity. The most common names in the US are Middle Eastern in origin, and those ethnicities make up only a tiny portion of the population.

I selected meet in the middle but with a huge dose of think about what the kids have to live with in terms of friends and school. Life is hard enough without having to have the different name.

For my kids I met in the middle I choose Pakistani names that were also English names.
