Yeah, some of those conversations along with tone, hate, and vulgarity linger for awhile. Once that happens once, one learns to remove oneself from hearing range. I certainly do not need another's negativity and anger added to my already plentiful issues... Yeah, it fades until one thinks about it again... like now ;-)
I distance myself from stuff like that. It doesn't have a big effect on me. I suppose it's part of a bigger picture, but by itself doesn't mean much.
It's always awkward as hell though, and I'd rather not be there.
