How common is it to still live with your parents in your mid 20s?

It is fairly common for those in my country. That is kind of the time you are just out of university and getting on your feet with a new career. I lived at home for a while after I graduated and started working. It allowed me to save up money.

I did not move out until I met my now husband. We moved in together and that was the first time I had lived away from home. Honestly, I do not know that I would do anything differently looking back.

I had quite a few friends that did the same thing. The thing is where I live is a massive city and it can be expensive to live on your own. Many wait until they are in a serious relationship and have two incomes to help pay for rent or owning a home.

I think it would be a lot easier living in a smaller city. It also makes sense to have a good amount saved up so you are not stretched too thin. I liked living at home. I am really close to my sister and mom so never bothered me.

I think it depends from culture to culture and countries also. In many countries of Asia we tend to live with our parents even in our 30's and even beyond that whereas in countries like US and UK I think a person tends to move out of their parental home once they are 18 or 20 years of age.

It’s very common because the economy is arguable worse than it was back then as far as the housing market goes. Nowadays, most people can’t afford a house. They have to be on a big loan for 25+ years. It’s sad.

Depending on country it is probably becoming more common due to global effects like poor economy and very expensive housing and living overall.

It's common for people who can't afford to rent or buy. Or people who want to save their money and have understanding parents.

Where I live it has almost become a necessity. An income of around $110K is needed to qualify for a typical apartment.

Some places in Asia, it is very common and it is not shameful. Normal.
