Do guys stop being friends with people because of personality differences, or are shared hobbies enough to keep them happily together?

If you have stopped being friends with someone because of their personality, what was the reason? Was it because they were too boring that not even a shared hobby made you want to maintain the friendship?

Some absolutely will stop being friends because of personality differences. Others, however, will stay friends and the hobby/activity becomes the not just the bridge that connects the two people but also the bridge/diplomat that keeps them together. And that right there is actually the beauty of humanity and one of the disappointing things about the last few years is watching how people are choosing to let issues divide us and identify us rather than acknowledging differences and allowing things (like your great example of hobbies) to bridge divides.

It's really down to if the personality differences outweigh the interests in the same hobby.

no, not always no...

at least in my case, I've always ended up being friends with the people I do have an affinity with

and for that affinity to work it has not always been necessary for us to have similar nor the same personalities, and we do not always have to share the some hobbies and/or interests

there is similarities we share, and differences we also share... that's because of the affinity we have with each other (which we've fostered over more than 10 years, lol)

It’s really both , because yes guys will stop being friends with someone that had personal differences, and yes if you have hobbies together you can rain happy. But if the personal differences are too big they will stop the relationship on the spot

Differences in hobbies or personality is okay. I only don't get into relationships if the person is way too insecure or has an awful personality like being too selfish, manipulating, lying, etc... obviously

Yes we usually stop being friends with people and/or Avoid talking to them if we don't like their Personality, We're not going to want to spend time with People if we don't like their Personality.

Most of the time we just move on in life. We can sure see the personality differences rt away but at least give it a chance.
