Me and his mum get on and she does a lot for us like take us out for dinner, book weekends away for us etc but whenever I bring up the fact I want a baby “no wait 4 years! Take your time”
I joke around sometimes and say she’ll be a grandma soon and she says “noooo”
like wtf?
yet my boyfriends step brother and his girlfriend always get “when are you two gonna have a baby then” from his mum (they’ve been together for 5 years)
6 months might sound short to most people but to me it’s quite long and we’re both 26 so it’s not like we have loads of time. I don’t wanna us to be old parents. We are planning to buy a house in the next year but currently live with parents
I just don’t know why his mum doesn’t seem excited to be a grandma to her own biological child and keep saying “live your life first”
but her step son.. she wants him and girlfriend to have a baby so she can be a step grandma or whatever
If you love someone and things are going well why delay having a baby?
