How should I handle it?

Have been raised by my single dad all my life and so he gave me a lot of freedom to go out and wear anything and be myself. Last week he and i visited my paternal home after like a long long time because of a wedding and i was stared and given weird looks and talked about and what not. Is that normal cause what i wore was normal for me?

What did you wear? Cause people could stare for many things but I'm guessing if you are debating in your head if it was your clothes then the chances are that it probably was or you'd be sure it wasn't your clothing.

Depends on what you wore and the cultural background of the paternal house you visited.
Some people are not that accepting of the modern things but that should not stop you from wearing what you want if you don't mind hurting them a little but if you do mind then maybe you can try to dress up according to them till the time you are there.
