A village of Africans with predominant brown eyes needs documentary?

I visited my mum's village for the first time and noticed the villagers all had brown eyes including my cousins I never met before. I was shocked and took a stroll just to observe this thing and I was blown away.

my uncle's all had it. My mum has bit it is not too visible. I have it as well and often wondered where it came from.

I mean like very light brown eyes almost like the ones tigers or cheetahs have. it's not common with black people. so it's rare

Brown is the most common eye color.

The allele for brown eyes is the most dominant allele and is always dominant over the other two alleles and the allele for green eyes is always dominant over the allele for blue eyes, which is always recessive.

I don't know. Only thing I can say is, you are lucky. You got to travel to see family. Got to meet members you never knew you had. I am jealous.

I am. I've got family all over the Carolinas, Oklahoma, Ireland, England, Denmark, Germany plus others I haven't met.

Do I want to sure. But having something in common, probably not. We're related so far down the line our resemblances wouldn't be noticed.
Just with in 100 miles from where I live I have cousins I never met. They're from my grandfather's siblings. So I wouldn't even know they're names or what they look like.
Don't get me wrong, love to meet them. But kinda hard.

hmn. I understand. in my family we have a WhatsApp page meant for the larger family and when there's a burial or wedding everyone contributes what they have financially. the guys often give higher than the women. it was a distant relative of mine that opened the line and now he's the favorite of the elders. Now they are talking of yearly physical meeting in the village to see how everyone is really doing and have a party.

I don't say much in the room cause even at my age I'm considered 'young' and in Africa people take their seniority very seriously. it's so funny. but once in a while relatives my age respectfully drop opinions. but it's fun to see my uncle's argue in the room.

I think families should have stuff like that. it's fun and brings unity.

There are northeast Africans with dark skin and blue eyes. I could imagine northern subsaharan Africans and certainly those of Berber or Moroccan lineage with very light brown eyes.

Why would it need a documentary? Makes no sense. More than 50% of people worldwide have brown eyes, brown is the most common eye color.
