If a kid is hurting small lizards for no reason, is this already alarming?

By accident, I caught my 7 year-old niece gluing two small lizards against her hot night table light bulb. As soon as she saw me, she stopped doing it, trying to give excuses. I asked for an explanation, which she said it's an experiment, wanted to see how they move around if it gets a bit burn, nothing else.

I've spoken with my aunt and uncle about it. They were taken by surprise and claimed there hasn't been any incident but will supervise her more.

Would this be already alarming to you?

Yes it’s alarming. Why not super glue her to a hot table too? I would catch lizards too as a kid, but just to look at them, pet them and i would let them go after. So yeah her behavior is not normal lol

This is what I told my aunt and uncle. They are taking note to what I've said and supervising her closely. What bothers me still is before she noticed I've caught her, she had a smirk on her face (as if finding that funny), then her face changed to a serious when caught.
