ALL men should request the test before they have their name put on the birth certificate.
It should just be basic, comment practice for men at the hospital when their wife/girlfriend gives birth to have the staff then check the paternity to ensure it is his kid.
Even if you don't suspect anything. There is no valid reason to not be 100% sure and to take away all doubt. That women knows it is her kid, all men should do the same.
If they get the awful surprise then don't have your name on the BC and head straight to the lawyer if you are married.
I would if I ever suspected cheating. My logic is that if you catch it later, it doesn't mean that it started then, but rather people that cheat tend to do so over a long period of time.
That's when I'd get all my kids tested to figure out which are mine. As that isn't a concern or insecurity I have now, well, it isn't a concern or insecurity I have.
I’ve seen enough Lifetime films where babies get switched at birth. I dont blame anyone for getting a test lmao
Nah my kids all look like their dad so would be pretty ridiculous to get them tested
I've heard that's a common thing people say to calm down the dad. Instinct

Sure, to be sure my baby wasn't switched at birth. I have nothing to hide from the father in this hypothetical, either. I don't like people very much, so if I let a man close enough to me to impregnate me, I'm likely head over heels for him.
Men might but I wouldn't unless there was some medical need. What would be the point?
I would but it would result in the end of that relationship. I would never deny a man a paternity test but I would divorce/leave him
That's exactly why 10% of kids believe their father is someone it isn't.
@MyOwnMan2 Please explain how me saying I’d agree but I wouldn’t continue the relationship means that my children would have reason to believe their dad isn’t their dad…?💀😅
Why not, other than the money? It’d be fascinating to learn about my kid’s genetics and ethnicity! Although not always accurate, many of them put together are.
I can't understand why the young gentlemen do not consider this an essential step. In the western world. It should be mandatory, it should be law.
Yes, and i will go one step further. I think they should be mandatory upon child birth.
Yes if was married to a fuckin whore, you damn right I would.
Not if I'm the one giving birth lol
What if they mixed up your kid at the hospital and gave you the wrong one
Maybe, but that doesn't happen very often, and I'm pretty confident I'd be able to tell if the kid was mine or not anyway. I feel like it would be kinda obvious if the kid wasn't mine, so maybe then I would, just to be sure. I don't plan on that ever happening though
... you know 10% of kids aren't the children of their supposed father... so would you get a dna test done
Oh, this is for the father? Not for me? I don't care. I'd be kind of annoyed if he was trying to accuse me of cheating, since that means he clearly doesn't trust me (unless he's just had some bad experiences in the past, then of course I'd be empathetic) but yeah. I don't care. If he wants a DNA test, I'd get one, because I'm too petty to not be right. Either way, I personally know that I won't need to do that, but if he has an issue, whatever.
But that attitude is why so many guys get cucked. They get manipulated into thinking it's offensive to want to know.
Manipulated? I'm not manipulating, I'm stating how I feel about the situation, and my opinions are valid. You seem to just want to play the victim here.
Ok then why doesn't the government mandate $20 worth of dna tests at birth? Instead, it's ILLEGAL in France for a father to request a dna test of "his" baby.
What do you want me to do about it? Stop talking to me. I can't change the government. I can't change France. Cope.
yes if its completely out of the blue
There's no reason to. I know they are mine
You shouldve said there's no reason to because you aren't in their life 😂
I'm in their life and they are my life. I have a great relationship with my kids
I don't see any reason not to.
