In principle, I support the idea, just not some government mandate.

That said, any time a man becomes a father, he should get a paternity test on the baby before signing the birth certificate. Easily, 10% of men are unknowingly raising children that aren't theirs.

I heard somebody signed up for a DNA test to find out what health problems they are genetically predisposed to and once their insurer realized they were at high risk of future health problems, their premiums when up.

No the baby can be tested later on. After birth there are too many other important things going on to check the baby and moms health. Knowing who the baby daddy is just isn't important

That’s a shame because not everyone cheats.

True, but a lot of people have experienced cheating. 3 out of the 4 women I’ve had relationships with cheated on me and since I know what it feels like to be cheated on I’ve never cheated. I’ve even dealt with someone who cheated on her own boyfriend with me and wasn’t aware of it.
