Since mid Dec, my mixed Presa Canario (female) have suddenly become aggressive towards other dogs and cats. The latest was just last week. It dragged me towards a cat, towards a neighbor's yard and sadly mauled it to death. That was the first time I've ever saw her killing an animal. The cat owner wants to sue me. I'm liable for what happened though.
This is a new behavior I've never seen before. It never used to act that way till recently. It was socialized early on. I can't think of anything I've failed. Now I can't leave her with other dogs or animals.
Though I have to admit when it was sold to me as a puppy several years ago, it wasn't from a well known/reputable breeder. I never met the parents but I'm assuming they must be fighters since it's mixed. Needless to say I feel sad and stressed out with all this. So I need to give up my dog?

I am not qualified to make decisions about your dog. However, given the recent aggressive behavior your dog has exhibited, it may be necessary to seek the help of a professional dog trainer or behaviorist to assess the situation and determine the best course of action.
Depending on the severity of the aggression and the potential liability issues, it may be necessary to consider rehoming your dog in a situation where it can be managed and kept away from other animals. However, this is a difficult decision and should only be made after careful consideration and consultation with professionals.
It's also important to ensure that you take responsibility for your dog's behavior and take steps to prevent any future incidents. This may include keeping your dog on a leash and muzzled in public, avoiding situations where other animals may be present, and seeking professional help for your dog's aggression.
Ultimately, the safety of other animals and people should be the top priority, and any decision about your dog's future should be made with this in mind.
I am not surprised it has become aggressive. One use for them in the Canary Islands was for dog fighting. Other uses are as guard dogs and as herders.
At the very least you need to get the dog to a trainer.
