Moving in 2 weeks and cutting off toxic family members for good?

I aready made the vow I will not contact , visit , or even show up for family emergencies as my family is extremely toxic. I already told my family I'm going no contact with them and me and my children are going on with our lives. My ex-husband will not be able to communicate with me either and I told him when it comes to picking up the kids he will have to pick up our daughter from a public place as I don't want him knowing where we're going. It's irritating him, and my family can't handle the no contact either. Advice? There will be 0 reconciliation once we're gone..

Over the last couple of years, I've found that my siblings run the gamut, in birth order, from #1 being unawaredly toxic while thinking she's trying to be helpful, unaware of the harm she causes, to #2 just being an occasional prick, I'm #3, to #4 being the best friend I can possibly imagine, and then there is #5, the baby of the family, who seems to be just kind of lost, but who is a good soul, bless her.

I've cut off #1, I limit #2, #4 is my daily life-hold, #5 I should pay more attention to.

Do what you need to do.

Just make sure you are ready for those terms to be mirror'd is all I'm gonna say and warn about. The main reason people keep their family even if they are terrible is cause the metaphorical "shit hits the fan" card that most families will put up with the toxic moments.

You sound like my family members create drama and them run away from accountability when noone wants to put up with that shyt. I didn't come here to be abused by the very people who are suppose to love me.

All I was saying is be prepared to handle the tsunami that is life I never said forgive your family I was straight up abandoned by my father and I was fortunate enough that my birth mom put me up for adoption. So I'm well aware of what shitty family is like. I just wanted you to make sure you plan for when things go wrong, and for when the turds hit the fan. If you are really going to make the move to be on your own. Thats the concept I'm on. Independence is great but it is like the concept of "what comes with great power, and thats having the responsibility to use it wisely.

My grandmother told me she'll be glad when I can move so she can stop looking in my face. Do you think I care about these people - I told my therapist yesterday I don't want to hear or see from these people who caused trauma and pain in my life. My grandmother keeps asking wehre were moving as if I will ever disclose that

My family is abusive and toxic not just shitty and I'm in theraphy to heal from trauma and abuse they caused now I'm free and will be free in a week

Why would I want these people tagging along in my new life and bring my children around their trauma- my family needs theraphy and I need to heal from them maybe they'll realize they're the problem and I already told them if they show up at my property I will call the police- despite were moving they're still bytching and complaining notice were all moving in a week - tbe quicker I get away from. the better things will be !
