Do you feel the same with me? I think that Father's day is the least celebrated holiday when we compare it with Mother's day. Is it something related to the value of their roles or something else?
Hallmark should come out with NO FATHER'S DAY cards and have the cards tell their absent father how their life was without them.
I always hated in elementary school they would force you to make little glittery cards with glue and pasted glitter that the card said Happy Father's Day when my father abandoned me when I was 4. So, what to do with a Father's Day card you made at school but no one to give it to when you got home that. You end up a very sad little girl with lots of questions.04 Reply- 1 y
There are lots of single fathers too. Just because you didn't grow up with a father (sorry that happened) doesn't mean you should act like that. fathers day should really be honored more. The same as mother's day. Fathers are important too. Men care and work very hard for their children more than you may realize.

There are lots of good and lots of bad…nothing we can change about that.
As I get older…. I look back to my belated “father”, he had his reasons to be what he was.
I remember my brother said to my father…I will treat you the same why you treated your dad…
My brother didn’t do that…none of us 4 siblings treated our dad terrible when he was still alive.
We all turned out to be the opposite and not willing to be like him.
My daughter…almost just like her dad…angry, a narcissist, moody, mean, abusive…
I didn’t want that. I got mad for 2 years…I woke up and decided to not be that person who I don’t like…
After changing myself…I created a dynamic where I worked very very hard to teach my two children to change our family legacy….
I believe…we all have the power to make changes and not live by the rotten seeds they planned.
I hope you can forgive your “father” and those boys who never had a dad/mom to raise them to be a man…be that strong woman to make the changes you want.
Xoxo

I don't know. I don't think it's related to the value of their roles, because I think my dad is one of the best people on earth. Sure we argue and bicker more than my mum and I, but that doesn't mean I appreciate him even less.
Father's day and mother's day, I never go all out really for my parents for the same reason. Mothers day always falls on, or near my mother's birthday, and fathers day is about 2 weeks before my dad's birthday.

i think the reason is commercial. Fathers are a lot less obsessed with getting presents/flowers and crap for their "special day", while women constantly want men to buy them shit. So big business really works overtime to pump up that "special day" for women because they know they'll sell lots of stuff for it.
It really has nothing to do with men being less appreciated by anyone but big business.

I celebrate it with my dad. We go shoot bow together. He typically buys the food while I pay for the score cards, which are a total of $60. There are plenty of holidays that’s are least celebrated. Take Flag day or even donut day. Numerous others.
00 Reply As a friend of mine likes to say, on Mother's Day we do what Mom wants to do.
On Father's Day, we do what Mom wants to do.
Does that statement say anything about Father's Day?10 ReplyYes, I agree. Father’s Day doesn’t get as much fanfare as Mother’s Day. This mostly has to do with the fact that there are many fatherless households and/or many men don’t claim their children and are, therefore, deadbeats.

Thank you. 💞
My family celebrates it! On Father’s Day, I celebrate and appreciate my Grandfather. I’ll try to get my grandfather a nice gift and I’ll try to make him some dessert.

Actually I’ve heard Valentine’s Day is the least celebrated but in general I disagree with you. If we’re speaking from personal experiences I’ve never known Father’s Day to receive any less attention or be any less important than Mother’s Day.

Yes. Lets admit it, girls kind of suck at thoughtful gift giving. I have other interests beyond BBQ grills, tools and sex.

I think it deserves bigger celebration. My father is the best person.
00 Reply Because plenty of fathers abandon their kids. It happens way more than you think. And shhh... nobody ever talks about it

It's one of the least celebrated, but I think the very least clebrated is probably one that most people don't even know about.
