I know I'm not the only one who thinks so. Father's Day is not appreciated as much as Mother's Day or is often neglected. Is there a reason behind this?

Social stigma.
Men suffer from being seen as lesser parents. Until America makes parental leave mandatory, and the courts eliminate their bias against fathers, it will continue to be so.
It shouldn't.
While my father is ultimately an enabler and neglectful, he was a better parent than my mother by miles. It's thanks to him I didn't die under her care.
Mind you, he once accidentally fed me boiled vinegar thinking it was water. I don't know why my mother had been boiling vinegar. Better than when she sent me to school with wine in my tea because I was feeling sick.00 Reply

I just want to point out how a bunch of posts about single mothers are the thing with every father's day that rolls around.
Social media... who sits there on that bullshit making themselves appear larger than life? Men? .. maybe the gay ones, but I think it's mostly women. ... and that shapes the opinions of other mother fuckers with no life that just judge how shit really is by what gets posted the most.
Let's be real about this... how many men you know are going to post anything at all on that day? I'll bet my testicles and my slam sandwich you'll have more women wanting to post a bunch of shit on that day.

In (at least the North of) Germany ''Father's Day'' is a welcome annual hike through nature with a lot of booze involved
But such traditions aren't easily exploited by the greed-capitalists who meanwhile perverted a good number of other cultural ''goods'' into commercial sales events.
If ''other countries'' don't have this kind of ''man-ism'', then it's perhaps because we men from the North of Germany are special :D :D :D
As for part two of your question:
''Mothers Day'' is for kids and for pussies 😜

I've literally never seen this. My only judgement is from my friend group who treats both days equally. Usually a gift or an experience and a meal. I've been a part of various days over the years.
But I mean hey if mom gets a little bit more then fair enough, she did carry them for 9 months and birth them. Probably did majority of the work after they were born too.

I think it’s because kids don’t need two babysitters if they are obedient and mature so the woman is at home taking care of them and the man is doing his job to provide. The babies are more affectionate with the mom because they spend more time with the mom as kids.
00 Reply Mom’s are caregivers so they are very close to the kids and the kids have their immediate needs met by mom. Dad goes out to work, is gone much of the time and provides money and some fun but that’s about it. Mom is number 1 since she is the caregiver and Dad has an indirect role.

There are about four times as many single mother-led homes as there are single dad-led homes in the USA, and a far larger number of the kids in those single mother homes than in the single father homes have no or almost no contact with the non-custodial parent. That alone accounts for a net of ten million more "moms" than "dads."
Also, men are less likely to make a big deal out of this day and birthdays than are women.00 Reply Eh. You say that but the only noticeable difference I've seen is that retail businesses usually run more or bigger sales for mother's day. Restaurants are slammed regardless.
00 ReplyMothers are the ones who carry us for around 9 months. They're the ones who actually give birth to us. The father plays an important part in the conception, sure, but the mother is the one who does the hard work. It only makes sense that we celebrate mothers more than fathers.
Not that I'm trying to downlplay the importance of fathers, they should be celebrated too (assuming they actually stick around), but again it's the mother that does the hard work.00 Reply- 1 y
Because there are a lot more deadbeat dads out there than deadbeat moms?
11 Reply- 1 y
Deadbeat moms have so many choices to either opt out their kids and give it to the father or to a random man even if they are not their father or to the orphanage or to just abort it which is why they get away with it a lot more with deadbeat Fathers. And even if they are doing any sort of a child abuse or neglect, they still get away with it more because Society just tend to think that Mother Knows Best which is also caused by the women are wonderful effect.

Well for me it definitely is. I love my father. I try to do the best I can to make him feel extra special on Father’s Day.

Because lots of kids don't know who there father is.

@purplepoppy, really true, because women have multiple partners, but DNA can search out real father

Women need constant pats on the back and complements to get through the day, men just do what we do because we are good people. We don’t expect or need constant pats on the back.
so society generally kid gloves women and ignores men.

Where I live, father's day is much more special than mother's day XD
00 Reply 866 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. The same reason women get more compliments than men.
Men do and are expected to value giving over receiving.00 Reply- 1 y
Because men don't care as much about celebrations. Women not only cherish, but go out of their way to overplan and take a thousand pictures!

Could you please point to the stats that say one is celebrated more than the other?

Because Father's are considered redundant and disposable, just like men as a whole.

Society just seems to treat men as a second class citizen like we have less feelings
02 Reply- 1 y
Then stand up to that with kindness and compassion with other men. Women do it. That’s how we’ve been able to rise the way we have.
