Is it a bit crazy that my cousin from America invites me to a wedding when I live about 3,000 miles away?

Maybe your cousin just didn't want you to feel that you were being neglected or ignored, so you received the invitation. They may have an expectation that you won't attend; most people understand the burden imposed on someone from overseas attending a wedding.

However. . . I am getting married next April (in the US,) my fiancée is from China, and she has five family members from China who have announced that they will attend. So. . . you never really know unless you ask.
