Whom should I leave my beautiful things to?

I’m pretty sure I’ll never marry or have kids. Love just doesn’t seem to work for me. So I’m starting to enjoy being alone and to get set in my ways. In my thirties, I long for simplicity. Is it ok to just give jewellery to my friends or friends’ relatives as I get older?

Whenever a person dies without a will the state or government will determine what is done with your possessions. The sad truth is, that people place a much higher value on their personal possessions. Example: My MIL inherited her mom's shit-shack house. You would have thought my hillbilly MIL inherited a mansion. My MIL told my husband and I that we would inherit this POS. My husband and I talked it over and we did not want that burden. If someone remarked that they liked an item and you decided to give them that item you should do it before you get to the point where you can not. Have a will, and durable POA drawn up before you need it. If not someone will decide for you.
