Is it okay to not baptise my baby? Is there a possibility my baby may hate not being christen?

I have no friends and no family, so I have absolutely no-one to pick to be godparents. I did think briefly about asking my uncle, but I noticed he doesn't make an effort to contact me, even just to ask how me and my baby are. It's always me who has to contact him and ask how he is doing and only than will he ask how the baby is doing.

Is being baptised / Christian important as a baby or is it okay to let my baby decide themselves if they want to be Christian/ baptised

They can literally get baptised at any age anyway. So who the fuck cares? If anything, most kids of religious parents regret being pushed into that religion over anything.

I'm not religious never went to church and dont even understand the religion i was Christian under, but it's pretty popular to have them baptised by the time they are 12 months old where I live.

There is no need to indoctrinate your child into religion. You can always explore religion with them when they're older and allow them to choose their own path.
