No I rather like being an honest person and not having to worry about who is looking over my shoulder. I totally believe that my honesty has given me the success that I now have. At 16 began working for a couple who owned a very successful bar/restaurant in Siesta Key, Fl as a hostess, then to server and bartender at 18. When I was 22 they made me the manager taking care of most the daily operations. Two years later they decided to turn the complete operation over to me as they just wanted to retire and travel abroad. It's been 18 years and the business is running just fine and they have been overly generous to me. Never would I have been given this unique opportunity had I been known as a thief or liar.
Kudos to you! Hopefully somebody here will let that rub off on them and not end up seeing what else they can steal.
I used to work self checkout at Walmart. I would never accuse someone of stealing and give benefit of the doubt that they missed an item initially. However I’ve gotten a few people that were clearly stealing and I’d make it as uncomfortable for them as possible then turn it into Loss Prevention so they’d get busted that time or the next time they came in. They might have gotten away with it a few times but they all end up getting pulled into the office and quite a few have gotten arrested over it. The funniest is around Black Friday. So many people get busted. I think the worst is when I’ve had to turn in other employees and then they don’t come to work anymore after that confirming it was right.
I can't bothered to steal, if I really want something I just save for it, I am not going to risk getting caught for a couple of bucks. If I can't afford it, I won't buy it. To be honest I like the thought of waiting while saving to buy the item, i will appreciate it that much more.
You don't care what I think, everything about this post suggests your asking for validation of your actions.
Watch yourself, if you do one little thing, it can grow to bigger things and then before you know it your at a police station wondering how did I get here?

Integrity is what you do when nobody is looking. I'd rather be a moral person that can look at myself in the mirror than somebody who illegally saved a couple bucks at walmart. My integrity is worth more than that.
stealing from Walmart is a positive in terms of morals
@yeagimautumn I can find tons of people that find it positive in terms of morals to steal from you. Just about every thief I've ever come across has used some excuse to justify their actions. When their prices go up to compensate, you only hurt yourselves. Walmart will just raise prices to account for it. It's called shrinkage. No CEO is going home poorer for it and you're just risking a criminal record for... what now?
@davado88 If free trinkets is where the line of boring/not boring falls... you haven't done very much in life.
@davado88 See I get caught stealing trinkets at Walmart I lost my job, my security clearance, so i can't get future jobs of the caliber I hold. More money in my pocket overall by buying whatever i need, NOT paying for the lawyer if I get busted and NOT throwing away a career with a not horrible pay check for a weakass rush like thievery. I've jumped out of a plane with a pressure suit and oxygen mask at 30,000 feet, and that's not in the top 20 things I've done. All that would be pissed away for what? A coffee mug? Screw that noise.
They're not watching you at Walmart, they're watching the stuff, from the moment you take it off the shelf. So if you take an item and don't scan it, they can follow it out the door. They leave you alone, but if you do it too many times over time, they will arrest you. If you use a credit card, they know who you are. If you don't, they match you to your drivers license through facial recognition. If your total stolen adds up to a felony, that's a year in prison (not jail), minimum.
One way to know they're on to you - if the person watching the scanners comes up and says wait a minute, there's an error here, and then they fix or reset or shut down the machine you're using, they're documenting something the computer alerted them to on their little smartphones.
Nothing happens by chance at Walmart.
Also, if the clerk comes up and says you missed one here and hands you the item to scan, they're giving you a break and letting you not get caught.
If you need to steal, then you need to change your lifestyle, before it changes you - permanently.
Sure you may think you're "getting away," now. But once caught, you can bet your small thieving ass they will pull up all those tapes from years back, to see how much you've actual stole.
If it's in the thousands, your cell mate is going to ride you like a fucking donkey, before passing you round.
I never steal anymore. I used to steal from stores as a teen, mainly booze and tobacco. Never really stole from people, besides one drunk night walking home. My friends and I thought somebody's rocking bench on their porch would make an excellent addition to my garage
never, that's pathetic. you'll get caught, it's a matter of time. why would you want that on your record, shoplifting? it will follow you to any job you apply for- your record.
It’s not a good idea to impersonate others and tell people you steal cause if your caught impersonating somebody else, 99% of people will believe you think stealing is okey since you thought it was okey to lie and say that other people steal.
Stealing is stupid to do , I work and buy my own things , if I can’t afford it, then it isn’t meant to be or I will just save for it And buy it next time
They have videos of it too so they can check later and compare what you scan with what should have been scanned. I guess you just admitted you are a thief. Or a troll. 🤔🤔
Nope. You realise stealing results in products going up in price so that stores can recover their losses from people stealing.
I am not stealing TVs or anything like that. Just small things like t shirts and food
It doesn't matter we are all paying for it because of people like you. I grew up poor not being able to afford to out food on the table but I never stole you and others are selfish for stealing.
Ahh... nope, they have cameras watching that sh^t. Not about to get pulled aside for stealing some food. Would mess up my street cred.😎👍
lol hahaha most people do. i dont but i know many who do. i think those self checkouts are responsible for inflation.
I don't think so. When they were installing those machines at my Walmart, I had a talk with the manager. He said that he knew there would be massive theft, but it would still be less expensive than hiring humans.
@BuckCannon honestly i am not sure i think what is saving the money on staff is the online shopping.
You're too young to remember phone booths. They were everywhere. Retail is going the same way as the phone booths. My nephew refuses to go to the grocery store. He subscribes to a service that delivers a week's worth of meals to his door step.
I can't tell you how many times I've driven all over town to look for a gadget I wanted. No one had them. But they said: "I can order it for you if you like."
Shit, I could have stayed home in my jammies and ordered the damn thing! lol
It doesn't work here unless the things you don't scan you keep in your cart. My dad used to rent movies at Schnucks when he shopped there. He put a movie to the side when he was checking out and it noticed a change in weight
Nope. And I’m actually extremely careful to count every single item and compare it to the receipt so they can’t accuse me of stealing.
No, i jus steal outta kroger when possible.
So you are not an honest person and you are not ashamed to admit that you are dishonest.
No I'm not a thief.
The Seventh Commandment is You shall not steal.
@davado88 I try to. Stealing is wrong.
You are one of the reasons the cost of living is going through the roof.
Why me?
Well you will be reassured to learn that the store still makes more profit than if they actually had to pay till staff.
Keep it up and you’ll get arrested - they have cameras on the self checkouts at Walmart.
naw. i got enough money to pay for my shit and i don't like the consequences of being caught.
you're too young to live such a life of crime. it's trashy too.
It's stealing. You shouldn't do it.
And I don't see any self checkouts in my country
Nah, I'm not a douchebag.
And I can afford to buy what I want.
No. I don't even use self checkouts. It's too much work.
Not all of it.
I blame Walmart though. They didn't really train me. So it's not my fault if I do a bad job.
Stealing is wrong, if you can buy do it if not dont. People steal out of desperation i believe
No…
Why do you do that?
I am kind of poor college student
Sorry to hear that…
So, you can’t afford food unless you steal it?
You know I grew up eating only bread and cheese, but I have never thought of stealing.
Be careful, don’t get yourself in trouble and study well, so you can afford to spoil yourself in future.
Good luck.
Some people are fine with just bread and cheese but I need my nutrients.
Nobody’s fine with just bread and cheese.
I am currently munching on my free chips as I type this
So you don't smoke, drink, go out to eat/door dash or go to the movies? Because if you "need your nutrients" then Maslow's hierarchy says that gets cut first. There's plenty of pantries you can go to if you actually need food that badly, and if you get caught before you mentally mature enough to stop doing that then like @shesrad80 said, (nicely at that), you'll just have a criminal record like all the other degenerates out there and permanently rule yourself out of certain jobs. Good job looking at the big picture.
no coz we dont have any walmarts here.
But if you meant do i steal from the store i do have the answer is yep its fun.
Nah. I just pay for everything.
I never ever stole a single thing
Now, now, let’s be honest, you steal a looot of sperm! And the occasional heart, I suppose? 🤔
@DryGermanGuy hehe how's that stealing lol
It’s probably a matter of definition… 🤥😬
@DryGermanGuy hehe maybe but then none of the guys would ever complain I guess hehe
Victimless crimes! The purrfect activity for a naughty cat like you.
@DryGermanGuy hehe yess
No, I always scan everything.
No, I was taught to be honest 💯
No! Shame on you! #yougogirl #stickittotheman
No. But I sometimes forget to pay for things.
I work too hard to ever steal anything
Used to when I was broke
No, cause I'm not a loser.
No. Jail time isn't on my agenda at age 72.
No i do not! I scan slowly and check my receipt
No...
Hell no.
Of course , and stuff my bag full
No..
nooo
