How to handle a very rude and patronising auntie?

She always talks to me in a tone and she looks at me as if I’m a drug addict with nothing going for me. My dads girlfriend says she really hard to get along with as she constantly has a resting bitch face and roles her eyes. She lives in a America so I don’t see her but sometimes when I think about how she treated me in the past just makes me sad and I end up wasting my day thinking about it

Just ignore her, don't give her a reaction, rude people want a reaction. Don't take it personally the way people treat you.

What I mean by don' take it personally, is when someone treats you badly or says unkind things, it just means they are insecure about themselves. For example if your auntie calls you dumb or stupid, she is insecure about her own intellect, if she calls you fat or skinny, she is insecure about her own body image.

Instead of worrying and thinking about how your auntie is treating you, work on yourself, and ask why does her rude you bother you so much? Work on becoming secure in yourself, so that, when people do treating unkindly, it doesn't bother you.

Now if does saying something unkindly to you, just say in a assertive manner, Please don't talk to me like that?

Or you could say

Are you having a bad day? and smile and walk away.

But never react in anger, cause then she won, and got a reaction out of you.

Also you need to have something in life that you can focus on, like a passion, a goal. Something that drives to be a better person, cause this help you not to focus the stupid things in life, like a rude auntie.
To be honest you shouldn't be worrying or thinking about your rude auntie, life is too short to be thinking about people like her. You should be spending your time, investing in yourself, and taking action to sorting your own future out.
Most of all, keep yourself very busy, otherwise you will fill your brain up with negative rubbish. A lazy person is a negative person. The saying goes, if you want somebody to get something done, you will always ask a busy person.

This is great advice! Yes I have a few new goals in life which is to learn Spanish as I want to get a remote job and live in Madrid as I have a business degree. Yes I need to get busier with life even more

Get on and study hard for it, then sooner you get it completed, the sooner you can go to madrid. Start focusing on your goals more, and not some grumpy auntie, that's just a waste of your time and energy.
