How should I handle my evil aunt?

I'm a 16 year old girl and I busy most of the time in my room studying as I have big dreams and I want to fulfill them. My aunt came to my home few days before, as usual I greeted her and talked with her a bit. The next morning, my father and mother were arguing and I was with them at the moment. My parents left me after some time then my aunt started to yell. She said that I was big enough and should cook them breakfast instead of being in my room and I was a brat and how I have a big ego. what she said really hurt me so I went crying to tell my parents. My mom then went to consult my aunt and instead of apologizing, she started a fight with me and I got furious too so I yelled at her. She then said I just stay in my room and I am immoral and told me I am a girl so I should do house works. This is not something unusual for her to say about me because I have seen her talking nasty things about me behind my back. 2 days have gone since our argument and both of us haven't spoken and my father wants me to apologize. I now feel guilty thinking if I am the one who is in the wrong. So am I the one who is wrong, if so why and what should I do

You’re not the one in the wrong. It sounds like your aunt is projecting her morals and ideals onto you massively and since she can’t express her discomfort at the unhappiness of your parent’s marriage, she takes it out on you as if it’s your fault. It’s not. I would continue to avoid her, politely decline spending any time with her, you don’t need to fight her but you’re certainly not obligated to spend any time with her alone. She likely won’t apologize either so I’d make your peace with that now. Set boundaries, make it clear to your parents that you refuse to spend time alone with her because she always makes you feel bad and you need a buffer because she won’t say it in front of someone else. She’s not living there full-time and that’s not going to be your problem as long as you can avoid it.

I always try to avoid her. Since I don't spend time with her, she goes around telling people how I am rude and don't spend any time with her

That’s her prerogative, she wants you to be the rude one instead let her say whatever she wants. Your friends know better, anyone who believes her is just an old gossip anyway

I don't think you did anything wrong you just stood up for yourself. You're aunt had no right to speak to you that way in when she was at their house. My aunt came over one time and called me a slut which really hurt me. My mom and dad told her to apologize to me which she never did but they also told her to leave. I think your dad is wrong asking you to apologize. I hope this helps you.
