Someone really has the last name Dick or you just wouldn't like it?
I've never heard someone say their last name is Dick.
I chose Weiner after the famous politician who got here myself in a lot of trouble. Everytime they would say his last name on the news I wondered why he didn't get it changed.

I think Dick is more of a first name; derived from the name Richard.
In the old days if your name was Richard, you could be called Richard, Dick, Richie, Rick, Rich, etc.
Then there's the infamous Moby Dick.
