+1 yI have given far more than 10k to the 2 friends I had. not my best choice but whatever showed me their true colors. built one a $6k pc, flew him to a different state covered his rent for a year and got him a job since where he lived he couldn't get a job due to distance. he lives in that state again and doesn't have any money or a job, meanwhile his wife works 7 days a week. different friend I gave $5400 too and then covered the cost of 6 cars. so in answer if I received 10k I would probably give 100% to a friend if they really needed it and I felt that giving it to them was the right thing to do

At least 10% will go to my Parish Church and some more to the Parish Community. I’ll find out who among my family or friends will benefit from some financial assistance. I’ll spend what little is left on a good feast in a fancy restaurant with my family.

+1 yNone. They gave the money to me, not my friends!
Call me selfish, but let's be real- most of us can use and spend 10k on our own without any help. If I gave any to a friend, it would be in the form of a gift or item they need or want, and it would because I choose to gift them, not because I feel obligated to.20 Reply

+1 yLet's be real: I'd be forced to report it to the IRS. They'd gorge 25% right away. So I'd have $7,500.
Half of that would go toward my car payment, and a lot of the rest toward student loans.

+1 yThe people I consider friends are mostly well off, so there's no reason. But I would donate it to an animal shelter or create a temporary home for cats :D

+1 yI have enough money in my bank account. I might give half of it to my French friend, the other half to my Turkish friend. They need it more than I do and could do a lot for themselves with that money.
00 Reply10k would pay off my debt to a t. So I'm using that money for that.
I'll buy my friend a beer with my own money to celebrate00 Reply461 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. None. lol.
I’d give it to my sister in installments.
If the friend was with me when I received it then they’d get half.
00 ReplyI've no friends so nothing. If I had one, still nothing lol.
Different story if the friend asks for some, then yeah.00 Reply- 2.7K opinions shared on Family & Friends topic.

Asker+1 yWhy would you?
- +1 y
why not?
I already do this with my actual money ( that I can indulge with)
and they also do the same for me... with their spare extra cash
we do have fun like that sometimes...
Asker+1 yI wonder why someone would give it to friends instead of going on vacation or spend it to your family or save it for your future. . And I feel like no one would pay that much money.
Asker+1 yWould gibve *
- +1 y
well sure... there were many other good options to do with that money
but you mentioned about sharing with friends, lol... so I focused on that
I could have also put those 10,000 into buying food and medicine for the cats and dogs at this Veterinarian Clinic/Shelter few blocks away from my place
Asker+1 yLikewise, I would definitely buy some food for the cats on the street. What I mean by giving it to your friend is that you can give very little and keep the rest for yourself, I'm not talking about sharing it, for example
Asker+1 yToday, in the foreign language course, the teacher asked this question and asked how much money we would give to our classmates (we have known each other for 1 month). So he chose one person for each person and asked how much you would give him. While I was trying to minimize it by bargaining, others said take it and keep half. I don't think he would give his half money to someone he just met I don't think most people would easily give that much money even to their close friends.
Asker+1 yYour*
Asker+1 yAnd he said that if your friend does not accept, you will not get the money.
Asker+1 yAnd In nother tour, in which we could get the money even if the other did not accept it. I said 1 in 10 but the others said i would still give half.

I get it... there's more ways to go about it...
if I really needed the money, then I would keep 80 and give 20 to them
if they really needed the money, then I would 20 and give 80 to them

I just gravitate towards them organically
I learned the language so I guess that helped (I'd recommend starting with reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki)
I went to college with one, worked around a multitude in my restaurant days and met others via business
Asker+1 yThank you :) i will checkk. What language did you learn?
Asker+1 ySince my English is not very good, if you said it in a different meaning (language), I may have misunderstood it.
