Even if they were a good person I wouldn't take it

I dont want to owe anybody anything. And the bad person is always going to have it hanging over your head. And even if they just gave it to you or you make a deal to pay it back in 5 years. It won't matter because the moment they dont have money or need money. there going to find you. and make your life miserable until you pay them back

I wouldn't accept anything from a scumbag. I'd feel tainted by their charity. And it's the same with good people. I'd rather they use their money for themselves. I don't want them bothering with me. If I ever become successful, it would have been mostly myself, with some support from loved ones to prop me up.

I probably wouldn’t keep it not because I don’t like money, but because the source matters.

Keeping it feels like silently condoning bad behavior, and that’s a cost to your integrity. $10k isn’t worth compromising your values.

Better to refuse or redirect it to something good even if it’s a small donation than let it sit in your hands tainted.

Oh, I would definitely keep it 'cuz I could do a lot of good with 10k and I believe that negates any negative karma that the bad person had. Unless it was a big money laundering scheme and now I just got caught redhanded with 10k illegal money and I'm going to prison. 😳 I wonder if I can use it to bail myself out?

I wouldn't give it back. Depending on why they are bad, that's $10K that they can't use for evil deeds. I wouldn't keep it though. I'd give it, anonymously, to charity.

I'd ask if anyone was looking for it, if they say no, I'd ask why they gave it to me. Their answer would impact whether I accept it.

If I think they stole it from a bank, or worse, some dangerous criminals, I'm not touching it. If anyone is looking for it, I'm not touching it. If they leave it on the driveway, I'll politely tell them the money is blocking my car

Bad in what sense? Drug dealer? Sex trafficker? And how good are you if you know said people? Sounds like you're pretty bad yourself and this would not matter.  Bad is pretty vague in your question.

It depends on why they gave me the $10,000. If it was to gain power over me, definitely not. If it was a more nonchalant exchange, then I would figure out a way to use it for good.
