My parents grounded me for an entire month, is that too much?

It was about a fight I had with another girl at school on Monday. At some point she suddenly punched me, got dazed for a couple seconds but then punched her back. We're all in 10th grade. She's the same stupid girl from 7th grade.

My parents was going to go to the office but some nosey classmate recorded the whole version of the fight and showed it to them and the assistant principal. Ok yes, my friend and I were making some pranks, big deal. Then I spat on her and well yeah that's how it proceed from there. Now I'm grounded for an entire month, including Christmas and New Year.

Then this isn't fair either... she only got suspended for 2 days meanwhile they gave me the whole 5 day suspension. I get I got grounded (fine I'll accept it) but for an entire month... is that too much?

I accept the suspension but either she was suppose to get a 5 day suspension too like me or I should've only gotten 2 days suspension. It was suppose to be equal.

Is something mentally wrong with you? For the past 2 maybe 3 years now, you have been constantly posting shit about you being grounded. You always blame others and never take responsibility. Worst of all you act like you don't deserve being grounded or punished.

I'm going to ignore her from now on... don't want anymore trouble. My parents added more to my punishment. They're not getting me anything for Christmas, I have to stay at home and watch the New Year's Eve fireworks from the window instead of going out with friends, more chores and I can't take the bus for some time... instead they will take me to school and pick me up from school. They've been talking to the girl's parents.
I've never seen my parents that disappointed in me before. They're this very serious. I didn't think it would cause that much of a commotion.

My parents are getting it very serious with my punishment. They aren't talking to me much. I'm closer to dad (he would be the ones who would sometimes reduce my grounding when mom was stricter on me but this time, he's going through the whole punishment) but even he has the most disappointed face I've ever seen, they're not gonna get me anything for Christmas, I can't even go outside for New Year's Eve to see the fireworks with my friends instead I'll be staying at home watching it through the window. My parents have been talking to the girl's parents. They're taking this more serious than I thought.
I really didn't intent for this to go. I want dad to speak to me at least. I've never seen him this disappointed and upset before. I wish they would at least reconsider the New Year's Eve and let me hang out with friends just for that day, to reduce my punishment by a bit.

I feel like you've asked this question before? Sounds like you were trying to start a fight with this girl. My 13 year old sister was grounded for a month because she wore a belly shirt to the mall and knew she wasn't supposed to. Did she like it? No! But she dealt with it and excepted her punishment. Stop messing up and you won't get grounded.

Well I wasn't trying to fight her. My friend and I dislike her so we were doing pranks on her like we're used to doing at times. The spitting was kind of mocking her. But yeah it lead to a fight afterwards.
