My own mother got me suspended from school and I lost my friends, was that extreme?

Two friends and I got someone suspended for stealing a pair of graphics CD's. We put it in their locker and well framed that kid.

I didn't think that was a 5 day suspension. I thought it was just 2 days. I felt kind of bad in the end but mom found out. I had no option than to report myself and my friends to the assistant principal's office or else mom would do it herself. At first I didn't think she was serious (reporting her own child, no way) until nearly entered the school building.

I did that but I'm still grounded either way. This resulted in the 3 of us being suspended for a whole week. My two friends don't even want to speak to me anymore and I'm not wanted in the popular crowd. I'm now labelled as a snitch and other things. Was it extreme what my mom did? This is my last school year. I'm a senior.

You are better off without those friends as you three together are displacing bullying behavior while being friends. You may hate your mother for this because you are young and just want to be cool and popular, but you are going to look back at this and realize how much of an asshole you were in this scenario. Own up to your mistake.

My mom basically demoted me to the lowest status at school. I lost my popular friends, my reputation is ruined and I'm seen as an outcast, as a loser just like that kid we framed. I'm officially the new outcast.

It's strange how things are turning out. The only person chatting with me ever since is the kid we tried to frame. The popular group and those friends took me off their FB. I only have him on my list. While it's good to gain a friend but I wasn't exactly a very nice person and my mom is the one that forced me to write an apology letter. Why does he want my friendship after what we did?

The thing I had a good status at school. I went from being within the popular crowd (popular myself) to demoted to the lowest range; that's the range where you get framed or bullied. This sucks.
