About a month ago I decided I was gonna build a gaming pc. I was just gonna save up my money. My brother said that if im feeling impatient then he would pay for it now, and I could pay him back. So I picked all the parts I wanted, and it came out to around 1600. Then he changed his mind, and I was just gonna save up again, but its going to take months. The thing is my grandparents left us around 90k each. My brother and I put together our money and bought a mobile home in 2017. I moved out and sold my brother my half, so he owes me about 50k. I put my trust fund in my savings a while ago, so I have full access to it. It's only about 23k, but I was thinking of taking out 1600 for the pc, and then buying the parts and eventually paying it back. Like 20-30 a month. I was gonna tell my brother this, because he knows what parts I want to buy, and he was gonna help my put it together? I don't want him to think I'm greedy. Am I being greedy? Should I just do it the hard way, and save up?

do not touch your savings. save for the PC. savings are more important
Alright dude, I hear where you're comin' from but let me give you my take on it:
Taking the $1600 outta your trust fund to build the PC isn't necessarily greedy, but it also might not be the best move financially. That money was set aside by your grandparents to help you out long-term, ya know?
Plus it kinda sounds like your brother already backed out once on fronting the funds, so hittin' him up again might come across wrong even if you say you'll pay back monthly.
I'd say if it was me, probably just play the long game and save up for it outright. That way you don't touch the trust and your bro can't think you're tryna take advantage. Plus builds character yadda yadda haha.
Maybe ask if there's any little jobs or odd work you could do around your place in the meantime to help earn some cash faster? Could be a fun side challenge until you hit the $1600 goal.
Just my two cents bro. At the end of the day do what feels right for you financially. But I wouldn't stress over it - that sweet new rig will be even more satisfying once it's fully paid by your own sweat! You'll get there before ya know it.
If you have the money use the money, those parts will only get more expensive than you can afford at that rate
