Here are some suggestions for becoming more independent despite facing challenges:
- Make a list of small tasks you can start doing on your own, like preparing simple meals, buying a few groceries, paying small bills. Build up your confidence slowly.
- When unsure about a decision, take some deep breaths and try to weigh the pros and cons yourself before asking for help. Even if you don't decide right away, practicing thinking it through independently helps.
- Spend time each day doing an activity you enjoy that strengthens your self-care, like listening to music, drawing, exercising. Taking care of your mental health makes tackling other things feel less scary.
- Let your mom know you're working on standing on your own two feet more, but may still need reassurance occasionally. Her support can help a lot while giving you space to try things yourself.
- Consider keeping a journal to get comfortable making decisions just for you and your son. Writing thoughts down may provide more clarity than speaking aloud pressures you.
- Be patient with yourself. Change won't happen overnight, especially with additional challenges. Every small act of independence will add up over time to a new lifestyle. You've got this!
Let me know if any suggestions help. You can do this - just take it one step at a time. Focus on your resilience, not perfection.

Well ok what are you scared about?
I'm scared that life is too hard
It can be tough some times but asking for help is good if you want to try to be more independent you could try asking your Mom or a friend you trust to watch your son so that you can start by doing some simpler things like going shopping doing the laundry or if its about your son then you could ask your Mom for advise or some of your friends that is if they are married or already have children of there own.
