why do I also need to have a bad day if she does?
Why do most parents love their kids conditionally?

Trending & News I'm a parent. The job sucks. Terrible hours (24/7), no pay - in fact you pay to do the job, and no matter what you do, someone has a problem with it.
Usually it's the child. And mine's only 5.
But then there's the "moments".
The first smile. Firsts in general. Smile, step, words.
I used to think my parents' love was conditional. I realise it just seems that way in that moment. Thankfully I realised that before my dad died and we had a good relationship, but my teenage years were hard.
I felt like I was competing with my brother - and not only was he younger than me, he was dead. That's not a person you can actually beat.
My guess is if there's even 1% of a decent human being in your parents it would devastate them to think you felt they put conditions on their love for you.
My son hasn't actually said he hates me, but his behaviour definitely communicates it sometimes. Then there's the times he just out of the blue puts down the Lego, runs to me and throws his arms round me for no reason except he loves me.
Moments.
I hope your parents can find a way to speak your language.
Yes been there with both parents, they rage at the world so you must, they cry at the world so you must. Then throw in who I should date and who I should not. It was a relief leaving home. Now I just get the ‘you don’t come home enough’
My younger sister and brother are very fortunate to have parents that love us no matter what we've done they still love us ❤️ Yes they get angry with us at things we've done but we know that they still love us ❤️
Your kids are part of yourself. They are you essentially.

I dunno. For me, I can’t really understand unconditional love.
Most humans are too broken and shouldn't reproduce
