Is 35 very young to lose a parent?

One of my neighbors who is 35 has a death in the family. Her father had passed away yesterday. My parents said she’s very young to lose a parent. Since when is 35 young? That’s pretty old, well older. Her older siblings are 39 and 42 so they’re not young. There’s some people that are younger than 30 to have lost her parents. I mean my condolences but 35 isn’t young.

I wouldn’t say it’s young, but it’s not old either. Somewhere in that middle ground. A lot of people lose parents in their 30’s.

Then why did they say she’s pretty young to lose a parent? 35 is I think you’re right, probably middle age

I think they just said it as a form of sympathy. No one wants to lose a parent at any age.

It's the point when you lose a parent life is never the same, I lost my mom when I was going on age 35 I wasn't too old or too young but the principal some people with an ounce of brains would care they lost their parent. I and Dad were never close, but he is going to be age 83 and if he passes I would still feel bad I love both of my parents, and he is in a nursing home so it hurts me.

I wish I could've made it to 35... give her credit making it that long and she should cherish the aspect that she DID get that long... I don't ever remember meeting my father/sperm donor and I lost my mother three days less than a month after i turned four... And that was just the start of my shit storm of a life so y'all wanna have something to talk about... Break that down...
