I met this guy when I was a sophomore in high school, he is two years younger. We became the best of friends, and we would hang out all the time together. I am also really close with his family, and I went to family events such as Thanksgiving dinner, trips, etc. He told me several times I was his best friend and that we would never stop being friends.
I fell in love with this guy but I never told him because I was afraid it would mess up the friendship. I always thought he liked me but he never once told me he loved me. Well in March of this year a guy from school started talking to me and asked me out. I have never had a boyfriend before so I was beyond excited and started dating him.
My friend kept telling me that he did not like this guy and that he was not for me. He told me that I deserved a better boyfriend than him and that we did not match. I thought my best friend was finally going to tell me that he liked me but he never did.
Instead he has stopped talking to me altogether. He would never pick up my phone calls or answer my texts anymore so I stopped too.
Now we are like complete strangers and I don't know why. He is mad at me for something and I don't understand. This guy never told me he loved me or that he even liked me as a girlfriend so it's not like I was doing him wrong by going out with the other guy. Why has my best friend in the whole world done this to me?
