I have a chronic potentially fatal/terminal condition so I made it out when I turned 18 even though I don’t really have any assets. I guess it just depends on life circumstances. If you have an illness, that makes sense. The more assets you have, the more it makes sense to make a will. If not I’d say around 50’s. I’m also in my 20’s so maybe I shouldn’t be speaking on this lmao I’m obviously way too young and unqualified to know but it’s just my guess! I’m sure someone could give you a more educated answer, but these are my “sick girl in her 20’s” thoughts!

The second you get a house. When both my grandmas died it was a fucking mess. The petty fighting over shit. When my dads mom died everything was supposed to be split up by my oldest aunt but my uncle took over and did his best to control everything it was such a mess. I don't know the details to it. When my moms mom died my family pretty much did all the work my aunt really only took things that had cash value like a huge jar of pennies. Yes you heard that right fucking Pennies. And like I said my family did all the work and my aunt wanted MY MOM to sell everything and split it 50/50.
I can’t fucking stress this enough. If you have things even as simple as a fucking car get a will and then keep it updated!!
Considering that it's easy and you can do it for free, you should do it as soon as you can. Even if you have almost nothing, a will makes it easier for the survivors.
If nothing else, at least set up beneficiaries for your financial accounts. Banks and other accounts should ask you about it when you open the account. So set it up.You don't need a lawyer for any of this unless you have something complicated, unusual, or want to make triple sure that its air tight.
By the way, in the US, I think about 2/3 of people die without a will. In that case, the state has a set of defaults that it uses. The defaults are likely the same as you'd put in a will, but having a will makes everything easier.
Whenever you think your sudden death would cause legal issues in your estate. My mom made hers shortly after her divorce to my dad was finalized. She plans to revisit it again but she had made the first version after my brother and I were born.

As soon as you acquire assets, that, if you died unexpectedly, would NOT go to the state you live in. No one know when an accident may occur, and you die without a will, or Trust, everything you worked for would go into court, with survivors fighting over what you left behind
The age that you are now none of us are promised tomorrow. We never know when our number is up so best to be prepared. So don't delay in getting your will put together to make it easier on your loved ones when you die. Also don't delay and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and accepting him as your savior so when you die you can be in Paradise with him and not suffer hell forever. Romans chapter 10 verse 9. Do it now while you still have breath in your lungs.
In your 20s, when you have accumulated a reasonable amount of things, it's good to create a will. Should you die unexpectedly, you don't want the state to decide what happens to your stuff.
Make sure to update your will as you get older and your life situation changes.
A will is not static, it should be a living document, occasionally changing.
I would guess at a point in your life where you have assets and personal things you want to make sure would go to someone of your choice should something happen to you. I've had one since I've been married
When you get married and start a family. I have suggested to my wife that we need a will. We own property and have investment account that are worth a lot. We really need to organize out assets so if we die the government does not grab the whole thing.
I've had one since I was 19. Adjusted it when I got married and again when my son was born. Updated it last year when he turned 5.
Today is a good day. 😊 like others said.. beneficiaries on all your accounts..
I wouldn't say age, more so wealth... Or even if not wealth if you have something you wanna make sure people inherit, get a wil
Age doesn't matter, what matters is assets. If somebody nothing for children or relatives to inherit, then it doesn't matter. If they have money in the bank, own property, stocks, etc. then they should have a will regardless of age. Anybody could die tomorrow. I've almost died at least 10 times.
18, you never know when you're going to die.
As early as you are legally competent to.
I made my will when my girlfriend was pregnant with my child. I had to revise it when we had my son, didn't want to leave him out.
My parents are in their early 60s and they've already started writing out their will and everything.
